DESCRIPTION     Make photographic type prints using sun and water
DETAILS     Developed by those amazing people at the Lawrence Hall of Science, Sunprints encourage an interest in the photographic process using only sun, water and a bit of imagination. It's also a wonderful way to experience nature as you gather the materials for your print, thinking about how the shapes are going to translate onto your paper. Gathering materials for a project in the garden is one of my grandchildren's favorite activities. The printing process is easy, the directions easy to follow. Place a fern, flower, or other object on the special paper and set it in the sun briefly. Then rinse the paper in water and watch as a beautiful, long lasting image appears. You can order directly from the Lawrence Hall of Science at Cost is $13.95. Toy and museum stores often carry.
