Last year I spent $35 on a child's sewing machine for our
granddaughter purchased from a catalog. What a mistake. It is so
inadequate. I could have spent the same amount at Wall-Mart and gotten
her a real machine. Somehow I thought it would be safer, but the needle
still gets close to precious fingers. Additionally as it is very
difficult to control, I think it is more dangerous than the adult
model. It was something she wanted, but also she was only seven, too
young to be able to do much, if any, sewing on her own. Perhaps in a few
years, I'll get her a real one. |
