Stanford university has interesting sculptures located around the campus and a location map. Following the map and finding the sculptures is like going on a treasure hunt with the sculptures as treasure. Just pushing a stroller around the campus with a purpose is itself pleasurable. You might include a visit to Hoover tower which is free to the public and open M - F 8 - 5 , Sat. 10 -5. And don't miss Memorial Chapel which you'll pass on your sculpture hunt. Parking at Stanford is never easy. Along with the sculpture map, we've included a map with visitor parking areas. |

Car. Here is some helpful parking information: Visitors are asked to use
the $1.50/hour coin-metered spaces or to purchase one-day "Visitor"
scratchers (which allow parking in Pay & Display lots and at meters),
available for $12 each at the locations listed below. There are also
parking permit machines in the Tresidder lot, in front of the Cantor Art
Center, at 401 Quarry Road - Psychiatry, behind Memorial Auditorium, and
at the Track House that accept credit cards, cash or coins, with a
maximum time limit of 8 hours. The receipt should be placed on the car
dashboard. You should have the correct amount of money, since these
machines do not issue change. |
